Car parks across Europe, monitored from a single dashboard
Client: EuroPark Systems
The problem
The company operated many car parks in several countries, and each had its own hardware at the entrance. To see what was going on in a car park, or to fix a problem with a device, you had to travel to the site or call someone there. The customers who owned the car parks had no clear picture of entries, and adding a new car park required technical work every time.
The proposed solution
A single platform from which everything can be seen and managed: the car parks, the devices at the entrance and the customers who own them. Each customer should see only their own car parks, and the team should be able to step in remotely, without travelling.
What I delivered
- A customer dashboard. Each customer who owns car parks logs in and sees only their own, in a clear panel, not anyone else’s.
- Monitoring for many car parks across Europe. All locations in one place, whatever the country.
- Remote management of the hardware boxes. The devices at the entrance are managed from the platform, without anyone travelling to the site.
- Entry statistics. For each car park, the customer sees how many entries there were and how they change over time.
- Adding car parks. New car parks are added from the platform, without technical work every time.
- Vehicle validation from images. Vehicles are identified from images and validated automatically at the entrance.
The benefit afterwards
The team sees and manages all the car parks from one place, and many problems are solved remotely, without trips. Customers track their own entries without asking for reports, and a new car park is much easier to add. Validation from images removes a manual step at the entrance.
