An AI assistant that answers from the company's documents

The problem

Information was scattered across thousands of documents, presentations and contracts. Consultants searched for hours, and new joiners didn’t know where to look. A generic AI tool made up answers, which was unacceptable for clients.

The proposed solution

An assistant that answers only from the company’s documents and shows, every time, which document and page the answer comes from. If it can’t find the information, it says so, instead of guessing.

What I delivered

• A simple web application in which consultants ask questions in plain language.
• Automatic upload and updating of new documents.
• Role-based access: each person sees only the documents they are entitled to.
• A screen for management showing which questions are asked most often.

The benefit afterwards

Search time dropped from a few hours a week to a few minutes. New consultants become productive faster, and answers with a source have increased trust in the tool.
